Person-Centered Counseling

People strive to develop and grow and already have the knowledge of their own resources and possibilities within them.

“I BECOME WHO I AM.”

Person-centered counselling opens up a protected space for development in order to uncover dormant or buried potentials of self-esteem and humanity. I offer an unconditionally accepting discussion framework that enables my clients to become self-aware and reflect, so that their self-healing powers and resilience are strengthened.

People can experience autonomy and the ability to engage in dialog, even in crises (of meaning), and implement these as self-effective potentials in the outside world.

Dialogue work in the “here and now” is the basis for understanding internal conflicts, symptoms and also external crises and becoming able to act again.

My attitude is appreciative and empathic. I treat people as an individual whole of body, mind and emotions and I believe in the human potential for positive development.

“THE ONLY CONSistency IN LIFE IS CHANGE.”

I accompany you in conversation through lively and authentic relationship building.

Awakening mindfulness and strengthening body awareness are very important elements in my consultations.

More about the holistic-humanistic view of man:

The “person-centered approach”, as an important and pioneering part of the humanistic view of man, goes back to the American psychologist Carl Rogers, who developed it from the 1940s and researched its healing effect on people.

  • People are okay, social and constructive from birth
  • Relationships and attachment are existential
  • People are existentially dependent on experiencing their basic needs for: Respect, stimulation, structure and meaningfulness
  • In social exchange processes, they are a wholeness of body, soul and spirit
  • They strive for growth and autonomy
  • The past influences and demonstrates being in the here and now
  • Humans were and are responsible and capable of making decisions and changes
  • The “climatic conditions” (climate, society, culture, wars, etc.) have an impact on life
